Developed from a circuit first introduced in 1976, the Viking 5 Metal Detector is one which has stood the test of time, and remains a popular choice for both beginners and more experienced detectorists. It is remarkably easy to use, having just two simple tuning controls. It has excellent sensitivity to gold, silver and copper objects, yet discriminates against small iron junk.  It is often acclaimed for its ability to detect desirable objects in an area with either heavily mineralised ground or one littered with rusty iron, a feat that is often impossible for a detector costing many times the price. Working well on both inland sites and the beach, this metal detector represents excellent value for money.

The excellent value Viking 6 Non-Motion Metal Detector is operated by a single tuning control, in conjunction with a memory retune button. Once initially tuned, this allows the metal detector to be brought back into tune by simply pressing the button, should it drift out of tune for any reason. The reject control can be used to make the metal detector ignore lower quality metal targets, reducing the number of unwanted objects detected.
The Viking 6 Non-Motion Metal Detector has also been used very successfully on the beach where careful setting of the reject control can be used to counteract the common reaction metal detectors often have to wet sand and salt water.

A purely motion metal detector, the VK20 Metal Detector is the first model in the range to feature the useful Target ID facility.

Used in conjunction with the Discrimination control, this can help determine whether a target is worth digging or not. The display used to provide the Target ID information also shows Discrimination and Sensitivity control settings, as well as providing an indication of remaining battery power.

The VK20 Metal Detector also provides a beach mode which eliminates false signals when detecting on wet sand.

Two detectors in one, the VK30 Metal Detector features both Motion and Non-Motion detection modes. Use the VK30’s Motion mode with Discrimination to detect and determine whether a target is worth digging, and then use the Pinpoint pushbutton to accurately locate the object.

Alternatively scan the ground with the extra-sensitive non-motion mode to find a target and identify it with the Target ID. The VK30 Metal Detector also features a beach mode to reduce the negative effects of detecting on wet sand.

Top of our range, the features that set the VK40 Metal Detector apart from the rest of the Viking range are its concentric search head and membrane keypad control system.

The large search head allows objects to be detected deeper, while the keypad allows quick switching between detection modes. Processor memory allows the metal detector to be set up as desired and retain those settings whilst not in use.
